No, we do not use MSG ... not ever ... absolutely at no time! (We like to be clear on that.)
We hate spelling things out ... like your parents used to do to hide things from you before you could read. (Yes, we know we have issues.) So we'll note here that MSG stands for monosodium glutamate, and use the shorter version from here on.
We do not add MSG to any of our products. None of the ingredients we use would contain any MSG.
That includes our spices, where you can sometimes find MSG hiding (like those cell phone charges that no one ever seems able to explain) in other companies' products.
At Applegate we do not add MSG to any of our products, nor do we add ingredients that contain it.
Under current FDA regulations, when MSG is added to a food, it must be identified as “monosodium glutamate” in the label's ingredient list. Our labels say exactly what is in the product. Nothing is hidden.
How is that for certainty?
