The date you see on our packages is the recommended “use by or freeze by” date.
This means that the product should be consumed or frozen by that date. It's important that you adhere to the noted time frame. Really important!
On the other hand ...
The “best by” date on our Pepperoni, Salami, Soppressata, or Prosciutto products only indicates when a product will lose some of its flavor, and is not really an indicator of a food safety problem. So it is possible to eat the products after, but close to the best by date without health risk.

It is generally safe to refreeze a product that has been thawed, but again, we would not recommend this as it could cause the flavor or texture to change.
